Depending on your specific needs, you can either Rent or Charter one of our boats. You can Rent a 40 hp boat and choose to drive the boat yourself. We will provide maps and instructions for your experience. On a Charter, typically a larger boat with more passengers, we provide a captain to guide you on your boating experience.
Led by Gaetano, our owner and Lead Captain, all our charters are captained by local licensed experienced captains. They also serve as ambassadors on your charter ensuring you and your party have a safe and fun experience. They will interact with your party to the level to which you are comfortable.
When contacting Siracusa by Boat, you will not be dealing with salespeople. You will speak directly with Gaetano. We do no setup kiosks in the city to “collect” tourists as most charter services do in Siracusa.
We are a licensed and insured boat charter/rental company and our boats are licensed and inspected. Our captains are licensed and experienced in Siracusa weather/waters. All our boats are equipped with VHF radios, and we monitor your location via GPS tracking devices. Life jackets for all and water alarms for children are provided.
All our rentals and charters are 100% private. Besides the captain, the only people on your boat will be your party. We never pack multiple parties on a single excursion.
We can develop a custom charter for you: boat type, captain/staff, itinerary/timeframe, food/drink, and activities.
Upon booking, we will provide you with a complete estimate of costs in writing. This will include boat charter/rental, captain, fuel, food/drink, and activities. If for any reason your charter/rental is deviating from this estimate, we will let you know immediately. The typical item with variability is fuel.
Our marina is conveniently located, approximately 5 kilometers outside of the congested tourist area of Ortigia. This allows for ease of access and parking. We can also provide transfer services to and from the marina. Our marina has showers, restrooms, a bar and a full-service restaurant. It has an excellent view of the city of Siracusa and Ortigia for having a relaxing meal and/or cocktail.
We have a certifed scuba instuctor on staff with all the equipment you will need for an amazing scuba experience. We provide the rare opporunity of seeing these amaziing Sicilian waters and sea life from below.
